Ex-BBNaija stars, Omashola, Leo, Diane are sending love and light to their colleague Khafi Kareem over the brutal killing of her 20-year-old brother Alexander Kareem by unknown gunmen in London.
The Sun UK reports that Alexander Kareem was gunned down close to his family home in Shepherd’s Bush, West London. He was said to have been walking home from a convenience store in the early hours of Monday morning when he was shot by an unknown gunman in a white Range Rover.
Alex’s death is coming amid global outrage and protest over the senseless killings of black people in Europe and the United States.
The UK Police are currently investigating the murder and have asked for any information about the car. Det Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley said, ‘We are determined to bring those responsible for this unnecessary and terrifying violence to justice. We continue to appeal for witnesses who may have seen or heard what happened to come forward. The white Range Rover seen in the area and later found burned out is also a key part of the investigation.’
Former Big Brother Naija stars and many Nigerians have taken to social media to condole with Khafi and her family.
Leo DaSilva said wrote on IG: ‘My thoughts and prayers go out to Khafi and her family. We are here for you.’
Her fellow housemates have also sent their condolences. Omashola said, ‘Khafi Kareem may time heal the sadness that you feel with the loss of your Brother. During these tough times, know that you are in our thoughts and prayer.’ While Esther said, ‘Sending Khafi Kareem love and light.’ And Diane tweeted, ‘Loosing a loved one, is a feeling I still can’t explain. It hurts and you question everything.’
Other BBNaija housemates have simply shared a burning candle as a symbol of their support for Khafi. Thousands of fans have also sent their prayers and condolences to the reality star.
