The princesses that filled our childhood with their fantasies have been redesigned by a fashion designer and it’s all manners of cool!
Big Disney fan Michael Anthony put a spin to their outfits from their movies and created gown collection that would fit perfectly on the most popular runways in the world.

In an interview, the Chicago-born fashion designer said: ‘Disney is what I grew up with and Disney Princesses were my first fashion icons.
‘My favorite Disney Princess has always been Cinderella – growing up, my favorite scene was when her Fairy Godmother transformed her torn dress into the gorgeous gown…
‘But I think reflecting both the classic and contemporary Disney Princess in my designs is really important.
‘Take my Princess Leia sketch for example – besides the fact that I’m a huge Star Wars and Carrie Fisher fan, Princess Leia was the first true kick-butt princess that we had. She inspired a lot of girls to be independent and strong. I want to reflect that in my designs.’

Drawing inspiration from popular culture, the 31-year-old, who first unveiled his sketches on Instagram, has had an incredible response to his work on social media.
One follower even branded his designs the ‘La La Land’ of their news feed.

‘It really took off once I started the Disney Princess collection,’ Anthony continued. ‘I’ve had such an amazing response to my work and I’m so grateful.
‘My favorite Disney Princess design has to be Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. I wanted to incorporate the scene in the film where the fairies fight over whether her dress should be pink or blue.’
But Michael Anthony doesn’t want to just stop at Disney Princesses – saying he intends to design many other Disney-inspired ranges.
‘I plan on doing many Disney collections including Disney villains, sidekicks and iconic characters like Minnie and Mickey Mouse as well as Donald Duck,’
he said.
‘Right now, I’m working on a Wizard of Oz mini-collection and am thinking of branching out to superhero and Marvel-inspired couture clothes too.’
