The Nigerian music stars are nominated for this year’s awards as Wizkid and Asake are nominated for Best Group, the duo have great chemistry and have been on songs together such as “MMS”, “Bad Girl”, “Getting paid” and also have a joint project together “Real” EP, which features tracks such as “Jogodo”, “Turbulence”, “Iskolodo” and “Alaye”.
Tems earns a nomination for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist at the 2026 BET Awards.
SZA, Olivia Dean, Mariah the Scientist, Kehlani, Jill Scott, Ella Mai, Coco Jones, and Ari Lennox are also nominated in the category. Tems earned 3 nominations as she was nominated for “BET Her” and “Viewers Choice Award “ for her collaboration with Dave for “Raindance”.
Gunna and Burna boy have earned a nomination for “Best Collaboration “ at the 2026 BET awards for their hit single “WGFT”. A track from Gunna’s 2025 album, “The Last Wun”.
The BET Awards are set to be held on June 28.
