Capital Hill music artist and producer, Tha Suspect, who has produced hit songs for artistes such as Chidimma Ekile, ILL Bliss, Sound Sultan and Congolese makosa Singer Awilo Longomba, recently visited the Hiptv studios in Lagos where he spoke on his new projects and the recent twitter feud between Wizkid and Skales.
The producer stated that he is busy dishing out singles to his fans for now adding that making an album now will be a waste of time. In his words, ‘with everything that’s happening around now, it would be futile dropping an album now, because bloggers would just put it up on their site and at the end of the day, someone else makes money out of your hard work’.
Tha Suspect was also asked to speak on the recent twitter feud between ex-label mates Wizkid and Skales, and he said they did it for publicity because artistes prey on propaganda in order to sell their music which is obviously working, in his words, ‘When children come out to play in the rain, there will be ‘rofo rofo’, and there was ‘rofo rofo’ on twitter and its fine, it’s all publicity and its good, I think it’s good for them, these days the only way to sell your product more is propaganda and noise, and this is the noise that actually works for people’.
Further making mockery of the issue, he says ‘It would have been nice if they just gave them a boxing ring so that they can both let out their emotions physically. So far it’s been Wizkid against Skales, Davido, Saeon. Wizkid I believe you, you are the guy, beat everybody’.
