Charlo Greene, a reporter of CBS affiliate, KTVA – TV in Alaska, quit her job while live on air after announcing that she owns a medical marijuana business, the Alaska Cannabis Club.
With Marijuana not legalized in Alaska, the reporter who was reporting late night on Sunday, September 21, about the Alaska Cannabis Club without revealing her connection to it.
At the end of the report, during a live shot, she announced that she was the club’s owner and so would be quitting her job.
‘Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska,’ she said.
‘And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, fuck it, I quit.’
Meanwhile, back in the main studio, another staff quickly offered a quick apology: saying: ‘We’ll be right back.’
