This is the question that has been on many lips since the singer passed away. Although she never made mention of it, Kefee was strongly rumoured to have been expecting her first child with her husband Teddy Don-Momoh.
Kefee was first rumoured to be pregnant a few months after her wedding in March 2012. The singer however denied the rumours, clearly stating she and her then new husband were not expecting yet.
During her 15-day comatose state, the rumours started again, with many saying the singer was six months heavy.
Further reports have insinuated that Kefee died as a result of a condition called pre-eclampsia. This is an abnormal state of pregnancy characterized by hypertension and fluid retention. Eclampsia, on the other hand, is a toxic condition characterized by convulsions and possibly coma, during or immediately after pregnancy.
Kefee’s UK manager Adeline Adebayo has however denied the reports. In a statement released hours after the singer’s death, Adebayo revealed that the singer died due to lung failure and that she wasn’t pregnant when she passed away.
