The 6^th edition of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards held on Thursday October 16, at Government House in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The aftermath of the awards has been marred by controversy as accusations and counter accusations continue to fly around.

One of the major talking points of the awards is the fact that some Nollywood actors present at the event felt insulted when the governor in his speech referred to Nollywood as ‘a product of necessity.’

Some of the Nollywood practitioners present at the award include Liz Benson, Kenneth Okonkwo, Shola Sobowale, Desmond Elliot, Moses Inwang, Dickson Iroegbu, Bob-manuel Udokwu, Patience Ozokwor, Elvis Chuks, AY, Iyabo Ojo and Emem Isong.
