After dominating the tracks for five years, Usian Bolt might now be slowing down…
The Jamaican sprinter yesterday (June 6) fell second place to American Justin Gatlin in the 100 meters race at the Golden Gala meet. Bolt lost by a hundredth of a second to Gatlin who finished in 9.94 seconds.
This is Bolt’s first significant loss since false-start disqualification at the 2011 world championships in South Korea.
Bolt however says he’s not worried. ‘For me it is just going through the season,’ said Bolt, the world-record holder and six-time Olympic champion. “Put things together for the world championships. The season is still very early’, he told reporters.
Will Bolt be returning to his winning ways soon?
