Nigerian music producer and Coded Tunes Entertainment boss, Idowu Ogunade otherwise known as Id Cabasa, is a year older today, July 29, 2015. The talented producer is credited with helping launch the careers of some of Nigeria’s notable music stars.
Id Cabasa first became popular after he produced Lord of Ajasa’s debut single, ‘Otiya’ which also features 2Phat. Not long after, Ajasa became a household name.
9ice, Olamide and Reminisce, today some of the biggest acts in Nigeria, also launched their professional careers under Cabasa’s tutelage and skills. He produced Ruggedman’s 2006 smash hit, ‘Ruggedy Baba’ which features 9ice, Banky W’s ‘ Mr Capable album and 9ice’s unforgettable hit song, ‘Gongo aso’,
Id cabasa has also worked with the likes of Faze, Plantashun Boiz, 2shotz, Durella and many others.
Apart from music, Id Cabasa also devotes time to the work of God, he is a pastor and as well the Choir master at the Global Impact Church in Lagos. He is happily married and blessed with 2 cute kids, a boy and a girl.
