Nigerian singer, Tems has released a beautiful five-track EP titled “If Orange Was a Place” which has generated a lot of positive feedback from her fans praising the new work on social media. It is mainly dedicated to finding inner peace.
The 26-year-old alte singer who is regarded as one of the budding musicians from Africa dropped her second EP in the early hours of Wednesday, September 15th 2021.
“Crazy Tings,” “Found,” “Avoid Things,” “Vibe Out” was produced by Guilty Beatz while “Replay” was produced by Jonah Christian. This is coming a few days after the singer released “Crazy Tings,” the promo single for “If Orange Was a Place.”
In a buildup to the EP’s premiere, Tems sang alongside Drake on Fountain in his latest album Certified Lover Boy while reeling off her successful collaboration with Wizkid and Justin Bieber on Essence remix.
“For a long time, I’ve been writing songs… I really wanted it to mean something, especially for Nigerians, and that is what is manifesting as Tems,” she said in an interview with Apple music.
The release of ‘If Orange Was a Place” has been treated to positive reactions by a number of Nigeria’s music enthusiasts.
Responding to Tems’s EP, On Air Personality, June Ubi listed some of the tracks as her favourite songs.
She said, “Avoid Things and Replay are my favourite songs from Tems is EP: If Orange Was A Place… Great music!”
