The second week of the BBNaija ‘No Loose Guard’ season was predicted to be full of drama, especially as our housemates bade farewell to the first duo to leave the Big Brother house this season, and the housemates did not disappoint.
With the eviction of the Tami pair the day before, there were a lot of emotions and feelings to be unpacked by the rest of the gang. Finally, the game felt real.
Everything we observed in the second week of BBNaija No Loose Guard
Sunday Night (After the Live Eviction Show)
The Custodian Challenge game was played by all the housemates who were still reeling from the eviction of Tami and this saw Streeze (Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh) winning the challenge and getting immunity from evictions and the power to influence who stays on Sunday.
Monday: HOH Games and Immunity Challenge
Ben and Tjay were the first pair to be rattled and the lucky duo that won the first immunity challenge lost the opportunity to retain the crown during the second custodian challenge despite their best efforts.
The loss did not sit well with Tjay, who thought the challenge was easy and then hinted that Ben was responsible for their failure.
The Mbadiwe Twins also scored big, emerging winners of the Immunity Challenge and were exempted from nomination for eviction for the week. This saw 11 pairs up for possible eviction for Week 2.
The Ndi Nne pair emerged victorious during the HoH games but didn’t get immunity from evictions, a factor that would have huge implications before the end of the week.
Wanni and Handi also spoke about their strategy in Biggie’s house and how they would act in the house moving forward, concluding that they would no longer hide their emotions.
Tuesday: Love and War
The tension between the Shatoria duo, Victoria and Shaun has been palpable since the first week in the house. So on Tuesday, they had a heart-to-heart conversation to hash it out, trying to navigate their seemingly mismatched energies.
One of the two Custodians, Mayor Frosh, was also caught in a tricky love triangle with Nelly and Rhuthee.
Ndi Nne, the week’s HoH argued with Chinne, the aunt calling her niece, Nne out for not involving her in the wager planning and splitting of tasks among the pairs, going on to complain that Nne was going about the HoH role as if she’s the only one in charge.
Wednesday: Girl Drama
Onyeka remained stoic in her resolve to keep up the heat in the house even though the housemates were shying away from the spotlight, becoming reclusive to avoid eviction.
Handi also had her highlight as she revealed to Biggie that she wanted to get at Nelly by being friendly and “touchy” with Sooj as she was with other guys.
She also accused her of not being a ‘girl’s girl’ and wanted her to get a taste of her own medicine seeing as Nelly likes Sooj.
Thursday: Wager preparation and double dates
Seeing as the housemates lost their wager the previous week, one would think that would make them want to work harder on their subsequent tasks but the opposite was the case.
Although the wager presentation materials had been handed over to them on time, the housemates were not moving as fast as they should have with some admitting they hadn’t done much towards the tasks.
Topher also made his moves, laying it thick on Anita who he has been sweet on so far in the house. He also revealed that he was planning a grand gesture, a dinner date for Anita and pleaded for everyone’s help in the house to achieve it. Sooj, wanting a piece of the action, asked if he could bring Nelly along so it would be a double date.
Friday: Wager presentation
There were several spats among the housemates with heated clashes between Chizoba of Chekas and Chinwe of Zinwe. Wanni and Handi jumped into the mix against Onyeka and Wanni later apologized with Handi by her side.
Chinwe also fought with her partner, Zion and this prompted her to tell Biggie that she wanted out of the game, seeking a voluntary exit. KellyRae also had issues with Michky who had been talking behind his back.
Despite not putting too much effort into their presentation, the housemates somehow managed to secure a win for their first weekly wager after impressing Biggie.
The task required them to create an innovative and mysterious game, which they accomplished with all housemates actively participating, making it a collective effort. They received their weekly food supply.
Saturday: Sexual Tensions and Gbedu
The day saw some growing sexual tension between Onyeka and Ozee and the chemistry between them is simply undeniable. Some serious drama and unexpected moments happened!
Chizoba had a rough evening with a heated clash with her sister, Onyeka, after their sponsored task that took place before the Saturday night party. Ben was there to comfort Chizoba, taking it to another level and kissed Chizoba’s forehead, then her lips.
The party saw the gang turn up with plenty of alcohol to go around. Afterwards, Mayor Frosh took a bold step and asked Rhuthee for a kiss, and she obliged, delivering one so passionate that Mayor Frosh was left reeling with excitement.
The housemates also dared Topher to kiss Anita and their very spicy kiss got all the housemates screaming and on their feet.
Sunday: Goodbye Ndinne
The Sunday live eviction show started with Ebuka shaking some tables and this saw the housemates try to do damage control after he called them out on things they had said during the week.
Ebuka revealed the bottom four pairs of the week, and they were Flourish, Ndi Nne, Radicals, and Zinwe. The Custodian powers were revealed and The Custodians, Streeze found out their power was to evict one of the bottom four pairs. Unfortunately, that saw the Ndi Nne pair get the boot.
For the first time in BBNaija history, the Head of House was evicted. During their short stay, Ndi Nne broke a couple of records in Biggie’s house both for the season and in the biggieverse altogether.
For the season, they were the first Custodians, the first female Heads of House, and the first Heads of House to win their wager.
The Custodian Challenge after the eviction show saw Wanni and Handi emerge as winners of Week 3 and they are safe from eviction this week.
