
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the latest installment in the epic Hollywood sci-fi has landed 11 nominations at the upcoming MTV Movie Awards as organizers announce nominees. The J.J Abrams movie tops other nominees ahead of the upcoming awards which holds on Sunday, April 10.

The movie, which chronicles the story of the ‘resistance against a threat to the galaxy’, was nominated for Movie of the Year, Best Hero (Daisy Ridley), Best Villain (Adam Driver), Best Virtual Performance (Lupita Nyong’o and Andy Serkis) and Best Ensemble Cast.

Others are Best Female Performance (Daisy Ridley), Best Fight, Breakthrough Performance (Daisy Ridley) while British-Nigerian actor, John Boyega also got two nominations (Breakthrough Performance and Best Action Performance) for playing Finn in the movie.
