Exactly 41 days after the completion of his United Kingdom tour with, ‘Donso’, a Malian group based in France, the youngest son of the Afro beat legend, Seun Anikulapo Kuti at his Ikoyi hide-out had a press conference to foretell hitting the airwaves with his second album, ‘From Africa With Fury: Rise’ a seven tracker album due to be released on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 by New York based record label, Knitting Factory Records.
Putting off his ever furious controversial attitude on the number five track, Seun gave his piece in, ‘Slave Masters,’ like an angered priest and without doubt pampering the Nigerian corruption with, ‘Mr. Big Thief,’ in number three. Just like his father, Fela ‘Abami Eda’ Anikulapo Kuti whom he inherited the dominance of the Egypt 80 band from, Seun continues to promote the struggle of awakening the revolution in the common men on the continent and his number four track, ‘Rise,’ spoke the word out loud and with a massive swirling, seductive touch of brass ‘n’ bass, he tackles drug addiction and discussed the benefits of the African natural herb, ‘Ganja,’ on the seventh track, ‘The Good Leaf.’
Knitting Factory Records offer customers who are willing to purchase the album over the internet a bonus track.
