The Costume Institute Gala 2016 was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York on Monday night, and to say it was one of the most glittering fashion events of the year.

Themed ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology’, the event in celebration of the newest exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Anna Wintour Costume Institute had many fashionistas extremely confused by celebrities’ definition of tech-fashion fusion.
Some of us used the social media to know what’s happening especially with the outfits… and as usual we found the funny side in many of the looks.
Hilarious and creative memes have since erupted on social media, with the likes of Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Zayn Malik, Rita Ora, Taylor Swift receiving the force of the mockery, but all in good humour.
