She might not have dropped a follow up album to her debut ‘First Lady‘ in four years but the rap diva has managed to stay afloat. Yetunde Alabi better known to her fans as Sasha or Sasha P isn’t going to sit back and watch while other female rappers try to take her spot or better still the spotlight.
Her recently released singles ‘Don’t stop‘ and ‘Ma wo Be‘ made worthy buzz in the mainstream market but people are more interested in the Storm Records‘ act dropping her sophomore work. A four-year interval is pretty too much, you’d think?
The video to ‘Don’t stop‘ falls below standard right from the very start; in an age of high class, top notch video releases, the Bobby Boulders-directed three minute plus video reminds us of what we used to watch five years ago on Nigerian TV. Sasha’s clothing ‘Eclectic by Sasha‘ looks great on her but the cameras don’t do any justice to them. Poor movements constitute to the absence of the usual electrifying persona the first lady shows off.
Another downside is the poor choreography; the dancers look like they were at their first performance. This sets Sasha back a little but with a follow up video, maybe to ‘Mawo be‘ which features BrymO, the first lady will bounce back.
