The 2011 edition of The Headies has come and gone but there’s so much happenstances that make It difficult to forget the October 22 event in a hurry.
Apart from Mo’Hits‘ singer Dr. SID’s performance flop and Rita Dominic’s obvious lackluster performance as host, a rumble between two hitherto relatively unknown ladies also went down.
Who you might ask? Well, Nigerian Entertainment Today has gathered that R&B newbie Dencia (real name Reprudencia Sonkey) and a certain Liz Garvy got into a ‘cat fight’ just outside the Expo Hall at the Eko Hotels and Suites.
Eye witnesses say Liz Garvy attacked Dencia as she made her way to restroom, yanking her hair which she practically pulled off.
Sources suggest the fight between Dencia and Miss Garvy is the outcome of a relationship gone bad. Dencia allegedly accused her former friend of stealing her property worth $20,000 from her house in Woodland Hills, California back in 2010. Liz, we’re told, had reportedly squatted in Dencia’s place to recover from a liposuction surgery.
All hell broke loose when Dencia recognized a friend of Garvy, Blossom Nyepon in a picture rocking her top. She went straight to Twitter, to call out Blossom (@bnyepon) who obviously embarrassed, in return gave Garvy a piece of her mind. ‘@LizzyGavy what you did over at her house has nothing to do with me am now been called a thief on twitter because of you @reprudencia’, @bnyepon tweeted.
NET gathered Liz Garvy runs ‘Gavyz Couture’ – a unisex clothing boutique with about three stores in Lagos. All calls placed to her not picked neither were our text messages responded to.
Dencia, born to Nigerian and Cameroonian parents recently returned to the country to promote her music. She released her new single ‘Beri beri’ and a follow up video a few months ago.
In other news a video of Dencia sucking a sausage is now circulating on the internet. The video is a footage of part of a spoof show (think Candid camera). Dencia is asked by a supposed ‘talent show producer’ to try out at a new talent show called ‘Just suck it’. She is then asked to suck on a sausage, salami with a condom on, a hot dog and a door knob. It remains uncertain if she knew she was being pranked.

Y’all are all a bunch of hating fools. Even if the blouse cost 1 naira, a thief is a thief. Even if she’s a wanna be singer, got fake boobs,is a run babes..etc, bottom line na say she better pass plenty of wuna. Whatever the means she used is, at least she’s in the lime light. She may wear cheap tailored clothes but at least she did not STEAL like the other lady did.
Y’all should stop calling Dencia born to nigeria and Dencia is a classmate,childhood friend and she never went to Nigeria till this year i think. And for the Liz Gravy, u better grow up and stop wasting your time on dencia cus she is more mature and responsible than you. You are a thief and there is nothing you can do about it, i know and the rest of me which means this article will be exposed again everywhere by me cus of your bad beahaviour even after stealing from someone. @girlinda you are right, peoiple should be honest and usefull to their lives.
