President Muhammadu Buhari will travel out of Nigeria again today. This time, the president who has only just returned from a UK trip will be making a holy trip to Saudi Arabia.
Buhari’s media team said in a statement on Wednesday that he has accepted an invitation from the Islamic nation to perform Umrah, a lesser pilgrimage to Hajj.
To this effect, the President, accompanied by close personal aides, will embark on the journey on Thursday, 16th May.
He is expected back in the country on Tuesday, 21st May.
Umrah is an optional but recommended pilgrimage to Makkah that can be made at any time of the year.

President Buhari will leave for Saudi Arabia today, May 16 and he is billed to return to the country five days later – on May 21 – just in time for the ceremony of his swearing-in for his second term.
