Femi Kuti and his ex-wife Funke Kuti were reunited last night Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the musician’s 50th birthday celebration held at the New Afrika Shrine, Lagos.
Funke was deeply involved in the well-put-together party, working with others to make sure everything went according to plans.
Later, she took time to join the three-time Grammy Awards nominated celebrant and their son Made who thrilled crowd with a short piano session.
The event was attended by quite a number of people from the Nigerian entertainment industry including Kenny Ogungbe, Tee-Mac, Laolu Akins, Orits Wiliki, Fatai Rolling Dollar, Jeffery Daniels, Sadi Daba, Weird MC and many others. Understandably, government functionaries were conspicuously missing.
