Manchester United star, Wayne Rooney will make his 100th cap for England against Slovenia on Saturday, November 15, 2015 and the striker went back to his former primary school, Our Lady and St Swithin’s Catholic Primary School, Liverpool to celebrate with 99 pupils.
The young ones all spotted England red and white jerseys as they took part in the autograph and photo session with the England captain.
Wayne Rooney has now joined former England captains Bobby Moore (1973) and Steven Gerrard (2012) who also went back to their respective primary schools in preparations of reaching a century of caps for England.
Wayne Rooney, who was first called to the national team in 2001, has scored a total of 43 goals for England till date.
