Lady Gaga was not only looking stunning at the awards ceremony, she took over the stage to give one of the best performances of the night with a tribute to The Sound of Music.
‘The Sound of Music,’ which won five awards during the 1966 Oscars – Best Picture, Best Director, Best Sound, Best Film Editing and Best Score, has not been forgotten, leading to the American singer performing hits like ‘My Favourite Things,’ ‘Edelweiss’ as part of the 50th anniversary of the film.
After the anticipated performance at the 87th edition of the Oscars award which took place at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles on Sunday, Febuary 22, 2015, the film’s star, Julie Andrews, took the stage after to congratulate the singer, saying:
‘Thank you for that wonderful tribute, it really warmed my heart, it’s hard to believe that 50 years have gone by since that joyous film was released,’ she said.
