Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has finally addressed the escalating public feud with fellow artist Blaqbonez, releasing a lengthy statement that dismisses the conflict as a mere “rap beef” and frames his actions as a defense of a loved one.
The “Industry Machine” singer took to his official X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday November 3 2025 to offer a deeply personal explanation for the ongoing controversy that has dominated social media for weeks. His statement comes amidst swirling rumors of a physical confrontation between both camps and intense speculation about the true nature of their rivalry.
In his post, Odumodublvck insisted that the situation had been “twisted into something it is not” and clarified that the root of the conflict was a “deeply personal and painful situation.” He wrote: “This issue has now been twisted to look like a ‘rap beef,’ a move to service someone’s career. I said it last year, even when tensions were low, that this is not a rap beef. It’s a personal matter that has been exploited for clout. Reducing a person’s hurt to entertainment is not only insensitive but deeply disrespectful.”
The rapper revealed that his actions were driven by a need to protect “someone close to me” who had been subjected to “ongoing online abuse, threats, and personal violations” for over a year. He stated that he felt “compelled to step in” after efforts to resolve the matter privately failed.
A significant part of Odumodublvck’s statement was a pointed critique of leadership within the Nigerian music industry. He claimed that he reached out to “label heads, executives, and industry leaders” for intervention but was met with silence. He said: “I believed they would do what was right. But no one helped. Many chose to protect their interests, their artists, and their investments instead of standing up for the truth. When it became clear that no one would protect her, I felt compelled to step in.” He also called out those he once respected for choosing “silence” when it “mattered most,” adding that such inaction was “not leadership” and “not character.”
Although veiled disses in their music helped fuel the feud earlier in the year with Odumodublvck’s “Industry Machine” and Blaqbonez‘s “No Excuses,” the new statement appears to be his attempt to close the chapter. He concluded by stating: “The matter has been addressed, and I have chosen not to revisit it. My focus now is on peace, closure, and moving forward.”
The statement has generated thousands of reactions online, with fans and critics divided over the rapper’s explanation, especially because of the earlier lyrical jabs. Regardless, Odumodublvck’s latest comments provide the clearest insight yet into the emotional core of one of the year’s most high-profile celebrity rifts.
