NSFW: Model with ‘cat eye syndrome’ makes her way to stunning high fashion photo shoot

29-year-old Caitin Stickels is a Seattle-based model born with Cat Eye Syndrome – a rare chromosomal disorder which can cause facial disfigurements such as a forked palate and a tissue absence from the coloured part of the eyes, giving the person a ‘cat-like’ appearance hence, the name of the syndrome.

Also an actress and a singer, Caitin has however scored big with her appearance.

And though she may not be your ideal fashion industry standard, Caitin’s currently featured in an eye-catching editorial for V magazine.

This comes after being discovered on Instagram and then shot by famed photographer, Nick Knight.

‘Working with Nick Knight at SHOWstudio for V Magazine was something I couldn’t have even dreamed of, to be perfectly honest,’ Stickels wrote in a profile for the magazine.

‘I never dreamed of being a model or being a part of the fashion industry.’
