It was with shock that archeologists discovered a certain pool of some 300 yrs ago. Marvelled because scholars had dismissed the biblical story by John 2000 years earlier, describing the pool and its healing powers as a myth.
Found currently at the Muslim quarter of Jerusalem, on the path of the Beth Zeta Valley. Just as John 5 described it as being ‘In Jerusalem, near the Sheep Gate, surrounded by five covered colonnades’, The pool is real.
Since this is a fact, this story as told by John was a true life story!
Once the pool got into unrest. The 1st person to jump into it was healed of any ailment. A paralyzed man had laid by the pool hoping to jump in 1st but those with illnesses that didn’t have them demobilised would beat him to it each time.
He laid by that pool. Sick for 38 YEARS unable to be free by just that one act.
His response to an inquiring Jesus who asked why he had been there for so long tells us what the issue was, ‘Sir i have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up’ John 5:7.
Sounds unbelievable. Not a child? Relative? Spouse? Friend? Neighbor? Business partner? 38years? Nobody? Yes! Not a soul.
A great way to avoid heartbreak is to know that this is a possible reality with human reaction to you when you are down. Nobody alive is wired to die for anyone and this has nothing to do with how close you thought you were pre your hard times.
That many did stay aloof while Nomoreloss battled his many wars from a dwindling career, broken marriage, financial strain and Ill health is a fact.
That many avoided him like a plague as courageously stated by Lepacious Bose is a fact. That Nomoreloss was not appreciated by most in almost every sphere of his life was a fact. But do you know the most painful of the facts?
These facts broke him and drove him to depression.
Pained by piercing disappointment of those he hoped on sometimes for as little as a call to say ‘how are you’.
This was a lot harder for him to bear because if you knew this man, sacrifice was his middle name. Something I had observed from our days of being TV presenters in MBI in 2000.
He was enthusiastic about being there for people. Remember he got knocked for high expectations over OJB’s fundraising. Even received a subtle diss on a song.
Nomoreloss was a giver but sadly also expected same. In this sentence lies my reason for this message.
This is not an epistle to sensitize the ‘being-there-in any-way-culture’ in anyone for a million reasons account for the decision not to give care, funds, time or even kind words.

Not forgetting very importantly too that some truly do not have the ability to give. Be if for a lack of the resources or experiences that have destroyed that side to them.
It gets even trickier with human responses to misfortune. While some seek outright entertainment out of your down time, others open new frontiers to hypocrisy like the radio stations who began to play the songs of a dead Nomoreloss who had begged deaf ears earlier for radio spins from them to expose his new works.
Lami Philips beautifully wrote a piece on the unappreciated Nomoreloss who suddenly became an Instagram hero only when he died.
So this message is not for those who you expect to rally around you. They are like a magic hat. You can never tell what you’ll get. This is for you the one who needs to cut down on the burden carried by anchoring so much hope and expectations on human empathy or acknowledgement when smooth times take a break.
It can be quite hard to take (as you must have noticed from Julius Agwu’s earlier viral video) but it’s an expectation that maturity demands that you kill.

That expectation unfulfilled can even lead to depression is supported by God Himself (Proverbs 13:12)
Believing that you deserve what you give is a one way ticket to misery land, making you judgemental and blind to those who do what they can but fall short of what you thought you would have done in thier shoes
Being bitter would make your view to life sour and sap the energy to fight with a positive spirit
Then there is the snare to complain to others about who and who let you down. At this point you begin to slide into being childish and risk the guilt of slander for your information on the contrains of others may be limited
My plea at the risk coming of like some preacher is… Less of the dependence on men. God says no one person can take the glory of sorting you out.
More of the development of inner strength and a soaring spirit.
Deaf ears to mood dampening tales about you with false hood. That’s the last thing you need. A distraction from getting on your feet.
Please on this note permit me to let Nomoreloss put cheap talk for you in the right perspective as you go through life’s struggles.
Please listen to every word he says in the song.. LET THEM SAY. It’s track 10.

…after the preaching you're still using him to market a song.
Don't do it, except it's for selfless motives.
