Nollywood actress, Omotola jalade-Ekeinde has been honoured by the United Nations as one of the 100 most influential people of African descent.

The actress was honoured at the opening of the 73rd UN General Assembly in New York. Omotola who has featured in numerous movies with a career spanning over two decades, took to her Instagram page to announce the news.
The 100 Most Influential People of African Descent Award, MIPAD, is in support of the International Decade for People of African Descent, to be observed from 2015 to 2024. The award identifies high achievers of African descent in public and private sectors from all around the world.
