Nigeria’s representative at the 2012 Miss Tourism World pageant, Tomi Salami on Sunday, December 16, 2012, lost the crown to her Russian counterpart, Tatyana Maksimova.
The event which was held in Siam Niramit, Bangkok, Thailand, paraded 60 models from different countries out of which three, Miss Russia, Miss India and Miss Lebanon came first, second and third respectively.
Salami got her ticket to the pageant under the Santiago led QHUE Concepts team, which hold the franchise for the pageant in Nigeria.
