NETPod: Nigerian Idol Winner Yeka Onka Debuts With ‘Follow You’

Fresh out with her first single, aren’t we all happy to finally listen to Yeka Onka – the winner of first ever Nigerian Idol sing? No center stage, no judges, just her and the microphone. It should seem easier for the young singer…

However, Yeka sadly disappoints with the Jesse Jagz-assisted number. Yeka’s voice is clad in auto-tune for most part of the song defeating the purpose of trying to deliver her vocals which we all saw her do at the talent show. She however shows a lot of promise with her calmness and easy delivery.

She will have to put in much more effort. Yeka says her debut album is in the works and she’s already in the studio with Cobhams Asuquo. Maybe that will just do the trick.
