According to reports, police officers were on duty patrolling the streets of Sierra Leone to make sure citizens keep to the ban enforced by the government while on radio, musicians who would normally be performing at live concerts echoed Ebola awareness jingles as the West African nation is left thin in its fight against Ebola.
‘We want to avoid contact because of this deadly disease. It’s necessary but I am not really happy. Normally we have a lot of fun with family and friends, but we just have to stay home,’ a cleaner said in a report.
Sierra Leone has so far reported more than 9,000 cases of the highly contagious disease which has also claimed the lives of almost 2,600 people.
