MultiChoice Nigeria, the organisers of the Africa’s biggest TV reality show Big Brother Naija, has announced the date for the premiere of the first ever ‘Big Brother Titans’ which will feature a mix of Nigerian and South African housemates.
According to Dr Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice Group, the new special Big Brother season will run from January 15, 2023 till April 2, 2023.
Tejumola, who made the announcement at a press conference in Lagos, on Thursday, December 15, 2023, said winner of the show will receive a grand prize of $100,000.
BBNaija veteran host and former housemate, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and South African actor and host Lawrence Maleka, will host the show.
Audition for the Big Brother Titans, a mixture of Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi, was opened in October 2022, to Nigerians and South Africans, ages 21 and above.
MultiChoice Nigeria CEO, John Ugbe, while announcing the Big Brother Titans in October had said, “the long history of rich culture and talent shared by both countries will be brought to life through the Titan housemates in one house. I can only imagine the explosion of drama and intrigue that will ensue. So, imagine ‘Afrobeats’ meeting ‘Amapiano’; imagine the food and everything else that will be showcased; we think this will be quite exciting. We are excited about the special big brother season, and we will reveal more details at the right time sometime next year.”
