Sarkodie has been crowned the king of Hip-Hop in Africa, winning the ‘Best HipHop Act‘ award at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards.
The Ghanaian rapper, who released his ‘Sarkology‘ album this year, beat Nigerian rappers Ice Prince, Olamide and SA’s AKA and Khuli Chana.
‘I wanna say a big thanks to MTV. We made it. Big shout out to the other nominees also‘, Sarkodie said as he picked up his award at the show, which held at the International Convention Centre, Durban on June 7, 2014.
