The year 2014 seems like a good one for veteran actress, Liz Benson, as she makes a comeback starring in three feature length movies, ‘Mummy Dearest’, ‘Living Funeral’ and ‘Dry’.
In ‘Mummy Dearest’, directed by Willis Ikedum, Liz acts alongside Daniel K. Daniel and Wendy Elenwo. She plays the role of a dedicated mother who tries to stay in touch with her five grown up children but her only son, Chijioke, played by Daniel, is unresponsive to her efforts as he is preoccupied with friends and fun.
Her role in ‘Living Funeral’ has her married to Nobert Young and nursing a daughter who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The movie is directed by Udoka Onyeka with appearances from singers, Omawumi and Waje.
In ‘Dry’, she teams up with Stephanie Okereke Linus to address the issue of vesico vaginal fistula among young girls forced into early marriage.
Liz hit the limelight after featuring in the series, ‘Fortunes’, but went off the scene in 1996 after she got married to Great Emeya.
