YMCMB rapper Lil Wayne was a guest on ABC News Nightline and he was asked about his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement.
Known to be controversial and unconventional, yet his response to the cause that many other black celebrities have publicly supported reached a new level of shocking: ‘What is it, what do you mean?’

When the interviewer explained, he went further to state that, ‘I am a young black rich motherfucker… if that don’t let you know that America understand black niggas matter these days, I don’t know what that is… Don’t come at me with that dumb shit ma’am… My life matter…especially to my bitches…’
He didn’t stop there however, as he continued, ‘I don’t feel connected to a damn thing that ain’t got nothing to do with me.’
He concluded by pulling out a red bandana and said that the Blood gang that uses that item as a symbol is the only thing he felt connected to. ‘I’m connected to this fucking flag right here. I’m a gangbanger…,‘ he said as he stood up and walked out of the interview.

His lowly opinion of the group that was set up to raise awareness for the several deaths of young black men at the hands of white police officers is one that many people have found offensive and generated a lot of backlash on social media.
Lil’ Wayne sounds CRAZY saying he’s clueless about the racism when he has addressed that same issue in a few of his songs before.

Lil Wayne got Ray-Bans tatted above his eyebrow. His choices don’t always make sense.

When you think of rappers being role models, activists & politically aware, Lil Wayne is the last person that comes to mind. Let’s be real.

idk what’s more disappointing:
a) Lil Wayne’s attitude towards Black Lives Matter
b) Nightline asking Lil Wayne of all people about BLM— brion michaeL (@whoisbrionrock) November 2, 2016
you can add Lil Wayne’s current behavior to the list of things that are totally embarrassing about 2016.

Lil Wayne doesn’t care about the Black Lives Matter movement
So stop caring about why Birdman robbed him pic.twitter.com/EO4eoe1mmm

Not that Weezy will care though. He thrives on being outrageous. But you can check the whole interview above.
