Like Ini Edo, comic actor, Ime Bishop gets appointment with Akwa Ibom State government

Nollywood comic actor, Ime Bishop has joined Ini Edo as political appointees to Akwa Ibom State governor, Emmanuel Udom.

The ‘Okon In Lagos’ actor has been announced as Special Assistant to the governor on Ethical and Social Reorientation.

Sharing the good news with his fans, the elated Ime wrote on Instagram:

Yes it’s true… been made Special Assistant To The Governor On Ethical and Social Reorientation, Akwa Ibom State. Thank you Gov Udom Emmanuel. Most above all, Thank you Jesus! ☺️

With this political appointment, Ime Bishop has joined the league of Nollywood actors and actresses that have ventured into politics through one appointment or the other.

Recently, Femi Adebayo was named Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism to Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, while Kate Henshaw was appointed as Special Adviser, Liason, Lagos by Cross Rivers State governor, Ben Ayade.
