Popular Lagos and Pot Harcourt biker and ardent member of Bikers Club , Tonye Claude-Wilcox on Friday, January 21, 2011 died in what was described as a road accident.
Tonye, MD of Petroleum Brokers Limited who was popularly known with fellow bikers to take trips from state to state on their bikes, was travelling from Lagos to Calabar with five other bikers to attend a burial ceremony, when a vehicle collided with his bike. He was instantly killed.
‘Tonye was a great man. He was a down-to-earth,generous, kind-hearted, loving and an unselfish individual‘, says a close friend.
We also learnt that he was planning to host all bikers in Nigeria at his forthcoming 45th birthday on Tuesday, March 8, 2011.
He was buried on Saturday, January 29, 2011 and survived by a wife and two young children.
