Kemi Adetiba is the leading female cinematographer in the Nigerian entertainment industry, and today, organisers of two recognised awards have further established that fact by nominating her for her outstanding efforts all year round.
At the nominations event held for the Headies, which comes up on October 25, Kemi Adetiba was nominated in the Best Music Video director alongside Clarence peters, AJE, Unlimited L.A and Jude Okoye while she got nomination for the Music Video Director of the year at the Ben TV awards in the UK.
For the Ben TV awards, she is set to slug it out along with Moe Musa, Clearance Peters, Sesan, Patrick Elis, Unlimited LA and Square ball for the gong.
Some of the music videos Kemi Adetiba has directed include ‘Ekundayo’ by TY Bello, Omawumi’s ‘Today Na Today’, Banky W‘s ‘Lagos Party’, ‘More You’ by Be and more recently, ‘Onye’ by Waje among several others. She is the only female in the music video director category foor both awards.
