Celebrated Nigerian footballer Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has reportedly signed a deal with an Indian brand, sports and entertainment company that could fetch him a whooping N97M.
Several dailies say the executive director of Celebrity Management Group (CMG), Baswar Goswani claims the company has signed Okocha for a football tournament which will hold this year in India. The tournament he says is fashioned after the very popular Indian Premier League for Cricket.
Others footballers pencilled to feature in the tournament include Italian full back Fabio Cannavaro, former Arsenal winger Robert Pires and former English forward Robbie Fowler.
Jay Jay, a 1996 Olympic medallist and former captain for the Nigerian Super Eagles runs CLUB 10, a night club situated on Saka Tinubu Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
