
Ghanaian songwriter and musician, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah, popularly known as Akwaboah, has revealed that he wrote most of the songs on Sarkodie’s ‘Mary’ album.
Sarkodie’s new album is dedicated to his grandmother and is expected to be released on her birthday which is September 12.
Akwaboah revealed in an interview with Hitz News that he composed about 90 percent of the songs on the album.
‘I would say I wrote about 90% of the songs on the ‘Mary’ album,’ he said.
According to the singer, who was also featured on two songs on the album, Sarkodie only raps whilst he gets an artiste to sing the lyrics.
‘I write and look for an artiste to perform the song then Sarkodie does the rap,’ he stated.
‘I’ve got a lot of songs on the ‘Mary’ album but I will be releasing more singles and more videos,’ he added.
