Kim Kardashian started the week doing what she does best: tensioning her 34m followers on Instagram with awww-inducing images from her wedding to Kanye West.
As the images, and the hoardes of blog reports that followed went wild around the world, one of the most admired couples in Nigeria’s media industry Toolz and Tunde Demuren were breaking our own internet with news of their – eventual – engagement.
It will be unfair to think Toolz’s claim to fame is her interestingly sculpted curves. Her banging body plays a role, but Tunde Demuren’s bride-to-be is a hardworking Lagos princess who’s a successful on-air personality at The Beat 99 FM. It is possible her fiancée – a pilot with Aero Contractors in Nigeria, a director at Empire Mates Entertainment, and the son of a former Director-general of the NCAA (Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority), picked the date to propose, partly because of the coincidence with Kimye anniversary celebrations.
Neither Tunde nor Tolu has said a word on their social media pages. But friends and acquaintances have flooded them with congratulatory messages. Plenty messages too, from the many men who were still hoping to get with Toolz.
Kanye proposed to Kim in October 2014 while Tunde proposed to Toolz on Sunday May 25, 2015 while the pair enjoyed a vacation with family in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
