Last year was a lot of stress and you’ve promised yourself that 2021 will be different. You’re going to be in control of everything that happens around you – a boss lady!
Being a boss is not easy, and even if you’re not that right now, you can soon become one. To take charge of your life and events around you, you just need to follow some simple steps.
- Believe In Yourself
The first thing you need to have is confidence. You can’t be a boss if you don’t believe in yourself. How do you expect others to believe in you? So this year, have a little faith in yourself and your ability.
- Hone Your Skills
Your motto this year is ‘level up’. To do that, you need to get better at what you do. Whatever industry or aspect of life you are in, try to improve on the current skills and talent you have.
- Go After What You Want
Nothing says boss lady like a go-getter. You set your goals for the year and you work hard to achieve them. Don’t let obstacles discourage you; they are just learning curves to reach the end game.
- Dress Smart
There’s something about a woman that looks good that makes people gravitate towards her for guidance. Now we’re not saying you’re Moses to lead the people, but for sure, you want every eye to be on you when you step into a room. As they should.
There are many more ways to ensure you stay in ‘boss mode’ this year, but these are the starting points. Another way is to watch other boss women in action. To celebrate Women’s History Month, DStv is introducing a pop-up channel dedicated to the powerful women in action movies in March.
The pop-up channel consists of an incredible collection of heroine action movies that pack a punch. Among the gems are the most acclaimed butt-kicking films. These include Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, Scarlett Johansson’s Lucy, Zoe Saldana’s Colombiana, and Angelina Jolie’s Salt.
Dubbed the M-Net Movies Pretty Deadly Pop-up Channel starring leading ladies of action, DStv is introducing a thrilling pop-up channel that will air on DStv Channel 111 from Friday, 19 March, at 9:30 am and end on Sunday, 4 April, shortly after 11 pm.
The pop-up channel, which will be available to DStv Premium customers, will also be available on the DStv app for you to watch on up to 5 devices at home or on the go. Download here on the Play Store or here on the App Store. Join the conversation on Twitter @mnetmovies and the official M-Net Facebook page using the hashtag #MMPRETTYDEADLY.
