It was a date with Lagos’ finest as they all convened at the launch of ultra-premium scotch whisky brand, The Macallan as they launched their oldest whisky, the 81 Years Old Reach, in a luxurious evening soiree with top personalities such as Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Audu Maikori and Mai Atafo in attendance.
In a whisky-tasting session, The Macallan Brand Ambassador for Abuja, Adeyinka Adepetun, engaged the audience in an immersive session where they savoured their whisky over fine dining and a scintillating performance from Nigerian singer and music producer Cobhams Asuquo.
Speaking at the unveiling of its 81-year-old single malt whisky, Adeyinka Adepetun broke down the craftsmanship behind the single, sherry-seasoned oak cask, that was inspired by the enduring spirit that has been at the heart of The Macallan since 1824.
Amidst Lagos’ high-brow residential area lies The Jewel Aeida, where well-curated whisky food pairing and musical excellence met sophisticated style. Here are some images that show a glimpse of how the launch went:
