British actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been formally charged with multiple sexual offences following a Metropolitan Police investigation.
The 50-year-old actor faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The alleged offences are said to have taken place between 2007 and 2016 and involve five women.
The charges were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on Wednesday, after detectives submitted a file of evidence following their investigation.
The Metropolitan Police launched the probe in September 2025, when Clarke was arrested in connection with the allegations. He was subsequently released under investigation.
Clarke is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21.
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, who is leading the investigation, said the women involved are being supported by specially trained officers. He also urged anyone who may have been a victim to come forward. “We urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to contact police. The information you provide will be dealt with in the utmost sensitivity and we have trained investigators on hand to support you.”
Clarke rose to prominence after playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who between 2005 and 2010. He is also widely known for creating and starring in the crime-drama films Kidulthood (2006), Adulthood (2008) and Brotherhood (2016).
He is married to Iris Da-Silva, and they have four children.
The charges are allegations, and Clarke has not been convicted of any offence.
