Weeks after the release of his latest single ‘Lady Fiona’ with Kenyan band Sauti Sol, the record producer and singer, Cobhmas Asuquo, disclosed that he wrote the song from a place of love while further hinting at more songs in that same direction in the near future.
“Lady Fiona is for the lovers. It’s a love song, it’s a beauty song. I think people should just listen to it and ingest it and digest it and love it like I love it. It was made from a place of love. You’ll see and hear more of it,” he told Netng.
The record producer revealed this at the launch of The Macallan’s oldest whisky, The Reach which was held at The Jewel Aeida on Friday, February 23, 2024.
In attendance was Lagos’ finest, from top entertainment personalities like Audu Maikori, Deola and Darey Art Alade to top business personalities such as Tsolaye Everett-Eleorama and Hammed Adebiyi.
On January 19, 2024, Cobhams released Lady Fiona, a self-produced single that has amassed over 1 million streams worldwide. It was his first single of the year.
