Gospel Stand up comd, Ajibola Adebayo better known as Holy Mallam is allegedly at loggerheads with audio/visual company Nira Records over what he termed ‘breach of contract’.
In a statement published on several online journals, Holy Mallam accused the company of copyright infringement and in turn demanded the sum of N10M (Ten million Naira) as compensation.
However, the celebrated comedian insists he isn’t party to the release of the statement written by his lawyer, but admitted he’s got scores to settle with the company.
‘This story has been spreading like wild fire. My lawyer wrote NIRA but I did not instruct my publicist to release anything. Right now I’m in Port Harcourt but when I get back to Lagos on Thursday, I’ll finalize issues with my Lawyer’, he tells NET.
He went ahead to state his dissatisfaction at the unjust treatment received by artistes from the international company and admitted he demanded the sum of N10M as compensation.
‘I’m not ready to disclose any information about it yet. I’m demanding for N10 million but it’s not all about the money. I just want a situation whereby they stop treating artistes anyhow. My lawyer wrote NIRA but I did not instruct my publicist to release anything. I’ll speak with my publicist right away. I still don’t want to disclose much till I finalize issues with my lawyer’, he added.
