In an interview with The Sowetan, the ‘This Time’ singer discloses how his sad love story with his first love forced him to put the lessons into a musical journey.
‘It talks about a guy, in a relationship, they both have faults but at the end of the relationship there are lessons learnt and I am confessing. She was my first love and real relationship. Me being an emotional guy, I decided to channel my hurt into the studio and I found myself recording a relationship album.
‘She is a TV presenter and not known to a lot of people, so she was comfortable with me using her name.’
AJ who is one of the prominent young DJs in South Africa, also admitted he has found it so hard to move on ever since the breakup.
