Damini ‘Burna Boy’ Ogulu has won the African Artiste of the year award at the 2022 edition of the Headies Award.
The 15th edition of the Nigerian music awards took place at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta in Georgia.
‘The African giant’ has had an eventful year with his song, ‘Last Last’, currently one of the top songs globally.
Other artistes in the category are Black Coffee, Davido, Wizkid, all from Nigeria.
Others include Diamond Platinumz from Tanzania, Soolking from Algeria and Aya Nakamura from Mali.
