Organizers of the popular Gulder Ultimate Search reality TV show have announced that a record of 26,004 individuals registered for a chance to take part in the eight season of the show. Last year’s edition saw a total of 20,634 entries.
The show’s producers tell Nigerian Entertainment Today that regional auditions will take place in Owerri, Benin, Abuja and Lagos. Selected applicants will be put through rigorous activities which will include physical strength, endurance, and swimming ability among other tests.
The screening will take place from Tuesday August 23 to 25 in Benin and Abuja, Saturday August 27 to 29 in Owerri and finally August 27 to August 31 in Lagos.
‘I will describe this record number of registrations for Gulder Ultimate Search 8 as a feat for over 26,000 individuals to register for a spot on this very novel reality TV show reflects the popularity of Gulder Ultimate Search. Close to 6,000 individuals registered over and above last year’s figure. Even more spectacular is the fact that over 1,000 people registered with just twelve hours to the deadline‘, Ita Bassey, Senior Brand Manager, Gulder discloses.
The eight season of the reality show will be jointly anchored by Nollywood actor Bob Manuel Udokwu and R&B king Darey Art Alade.

ABJ GUS screening was not by merit but full of partiality, dose it mean if you are not up to 6ft you are not fit also? selection was done at the final stage base on who know who or handsomeness and builty of the face, but this is not one the criteria stated at the term and condition form,i believe GUS is all about endurance an fitness but not builty contests many guys ware send away because of that, this is injustice and unprofessional to the GUS team as whole they are not promoting good name of the organization, the officer are not motivating. pls they should do it base on last standing guys.
