A lot of names pop up whenever we talk about hardworking females in the entertainment industry but one person we really admire is The Beat 99.9 FM’s Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi.
The beautiful looking lady (who turns 29 this July) has shown nothing but exemplary character in her profession as an OAP and celebrity.
Hey ladies, if you are trying to up your game or push it up a notch to ‘BOSS’ status, read through as we highlight a few of Gbemi’s strongest points…
EXUDE INTELLIGENCE NOT SEX
Yes we love when ladies post those risqué photos on Instagram, yes we love when you waltz around in that over-revealing, neckline-plunging dress but if you don’t have the brains to complement all that sex appeal, then you are simply a waste. Gbemi has obviously balanced her appeal as a sexy grown woman with her witty side which we get to see (or in this case hear) on radio, excellent radio interviews (notably with Kim Kardashian, Wale) and constructive tweets. Little wonder CNN anchor Richard Quest follows her on Twitter.
MAKING POWER MOVES WILL ONLY GET YOU TO THE TOP
Prior to working at The Beat, Gbemi was a major OAP at Cool FM. By making a bold decision to try something new, she started like every other basic radio presenter on Keffi Road working her way to the position of assistant director of programmes Beat FM and director of programmes at sister station Naija FM 102.7.
DOUBLE YOUR HUSTLE
Apart from working at The BEAT, Gbemi also runs her own media production and consulting company Speakerboxx which deals with publicity strategies, plugging, press conferences, event hosting and other stuff. She’s also launching her TV talk-show, self-titled ‘Gbemi’.
KEEP YOUR PRIVATE LIFE PRIVATE AND LESS CONTROVERSIAL
Ever seen Gbemi in a controversy, tweet fight or some unpalatable public spat? No, no, no. Ever read about her private life on some blog somewhere? No, no, no. When you’re a celebrity, it takes a lot of work to keep your privacy away from nosy fans and reporters… Major Props…
There you have it; so ladies, try working Gbemi’s rules and see yourself rise to power!
