Popular Nigerian gay activist, who is currently married to his gay partner, Anthony Davis, Bisi Alimi had initially announced he’d be leading a march on behalf of Nigerian women against rape, domestic violence, lack of education and child marriage.
He called on women to join him to demand dignity for the Nigerian woman.
However, in a recent Instagram video, he stated that he would no longer be heading the march as it was not in his place as a man to do so, as he was in a way, doing exactly what he was protesting against: telling women what to do.
He apologized and called on women to still go ahead with the march, which he promised to support and campaign along with.
