DEVELOPING STORY -Leading Yoruba actress, Funke Akindele was all smiles as she turned Mrs Khadijat Olufunke Oloyede today Saturday, May 26, 2012.
Contrary to venue information that had spread prior to the event, the wedding ceremony took place at the Haven centre, in Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The wedding ceremony began at exactly 11:25am, and is still now on.
The solemnization began with a traditional wedding, which was anchored by Foluke Ogunjimi of the Sokoyokoto programme fame. Then the The Very Revd M.O Ogunsoji JP took charge of the Christian ceremony before ace comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka took over as the MC of the event.
Present at the event are close knitted family members, friends of the bride and groom while the members of the Nollywood world were ably represented by Ireti Osayemi, Lola Margaret, Baba Kekere and his wife amongst others.
However as at the time of filing this report, only the Yoruba movie practitioners were present.
Funke, 33, had before now been romantically linked with colleague Femi Adebayo who was also married at the time the media became awash with reports of their affair. Her groom, a politician and businessman, has been married before, and is believed to still be in a marriage.
But being a muslim, he’s allowed to marry more than one wife. Those close to the couple say they ‘found love’ after having individual turbulent relationships; and that Funke, a bestselling producer and actress, is ‘happy beyond limits’.
