Francisca Owumi, a beloved former contestant from the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija, has passed away.
The reality TV star’s family announced her death on August 29, 2024, stating that she had been suffering from a trio of illnesses.
Owumi, who was a runner-up in the first season of BBNaija in 2006, captivated audiences with her vibrant personality and dynamic dance moves.
Her presence in the house alongside fellow housemates such as Katung Aduwak, Gideon Okeke, BBnaija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, and Maureen Osuji left a lasting impression on fans.
Following her time on the show, Francisca made a brief foray into the Nigerian music scene, releasing singles like “Diva” and “Gbadun You.” Despite her short-lived music career, she remained a cherished figure in the entertainment industry.
The family of Francisca Owumi has announced her passing on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt tribute: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace. Amen.”
