Brazil football legend, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele, has undergone a prostate surgery just six months after recovering from a urinary tract infection that stemmed from an operation to remove kidney stones.
Report from Brazil confirms that the all-time leading international goalscorer is in a stable condition, after the successful surgery carried out at Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo on Thursday, May 7, 2015.
According to the US National Institute of Health’s website, the procedure involves removing an internal part of the prostate gland in order to treat an enlarged prostate.
